Dramatic Post War Late 1940s Princess Coat in Teal Blue with Mink Collar

  • Product Description

Stunning 1950s vintage coat with dramatic fit and flare styling. A true princess coat, suited to dramatic post war dresses. Made of a weighty teal Forstmann wool that is saturated and vibrant. The nipped waist features a double breasted closure.  The full length sleeves are deep cut in a Dolman style. A mink collar wraps around the neckline, finishing the dramatic look. The coat has satin lined pockets, and rayon satin lining with a wool interlining. A stunner.

This coat is sturdy and is ready to wear. There are a some scattered points of surface mothing on the coat - three on the right sleeve, one on the left, and some in the skirt. There's a bit of storage yellowing/foxing at the far right side of the skirt - you have to look to see it. A professional cleaning should lift it, but I'm afraid I don't have a fur-safe cleaner.  I find no other issues to note!
