Delicious 1940s Homemade Colorblock Dress Made of Rayon Charmeuse Crepe

  • Product Description

Purchased from Europe, this homemade dress was created by a women who know what she wanted - the satin on the side. For real, bless her, this is divine. The bodice is a pale lavender grey, an earl-grey color and the balance is a rich-blue purple. The camera hated this color - it was really hard to photograph! The collar and hem use the satin side for contrast, along with embroidery. The buttons are covered in the same blue. A stunning piece that will be fantastic with a large floral corsage.

      Shoulders: 15.5"
      Waist: 32"
      Hips: 50"
      Length: 44"

      Label: None Present, homemade
Material: Rayon charmeuse crepe backed satin
      Condition: Very Good minus

This dress is clean and ready to wear. There is really subtle fade to the skirt, which shows more in photos than it does in person. It's not invisible, but you won't notice unless you lay it flat or are looking for it. There's a little edge of darkening at each underarm. The bodice has two tiny spots. I see no other issues to note!
