Of these photos, only the first comes close to the truly true red color of this gown. We've done our best, but it's so gleaming that light plays tricks with it. My mannequin photos are slightly too orange and not deep enough. The modeled photos too electric. This is the truest red 30s gown I think I've ever had. Christmas red. Vampire red. Perfectly perfect RED.
The design is simple (as much as getting perfect lines out of bias cut can be) - a sleek, curve hugging bias cut with weighted draping at front and back. But you don't need more - you've got the hammered texture (the texture is also short-shrifted in photos - it's just so GOOD in peron), the color, the lustre and fit. The dress slip over the head and has no closures. If this was my size, you'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands.

This stunning gown is clean and ready to wear. There is a group of very subtle spots on the upper back of the skirt, and two mild water spots on the front - you'll have to examine the fabric to find them, as the sheen and texture conceals flaws. There are a few points on the waistline where the waist has been re-stitched by hand, as close to the original stitching as possible. I find no other issues to note.
