Vintage late 1930s dress is made to charm you in a peach-pink hue of rayon, set off with deep, plum colored embroidery. This piece is sturdy but by no means perfect, so please read the condition assessement. The shape of the sleeve is that ideal puff with sleeve headers for shape. The neckline ties in a bow. And the skirt is pleasted for swishy movement as you walk. A self-fabric half-belt closes at the back, and the dress fastens with snaps long the left side. This is sure to be a favorite.
Waist: 28" (belt cinches the fit smaller, too)
Label: None Present, homemade
Material: Bemburg Rayon
Condition: Good minus
This dress has not been cleaned, as it is a consignment piece and I was concerned about the embroidery since it wasn't mine. It does need it, though. The color seems overall uneven and somewhat dingy, particularly at the upper back. There's some discoloration at each underarm. The skirt has scattered spots, three small moth holes and a snagged hole at the lower hem. There's a few pulls in the embroidery. The dress really does wear better than the overall condition would suggest, but it will need a professional cleaning or very delicate hand wash. Sold as is.
