Vintage cotton day dress seems to made on a 30s pattern, but in this print, I think it was made a few years later, in the early to mid 40s. The sleeves are puffed and feature navy contrast, which is perfect with the crimson, navy, gold and white windowpane print. The dress is a simple style, that slips over the head with no closures. Attached self-fabric ties make a bow at the back. There is a single button at the back of the neck.
Waist: 37" - remember to allow ease as there's no side closures. Best tied on 32"-35" waist.
Label: Grace Novelty Print
Condition: Good, as is
This dress is clean and ready to wear. It has been worn and washed, but remains sturdy and bright. There is a tiny split at the far left of the neckline, and I've put in some stitches from the back. There is a subtle lightened spot low on the front left of the skirt, but the busy print really disguises it. I find no other issues to note!
