Vintage late 1940s (to just 1950 borderline) post war day dress, in a lovely lilac color. The rayon/linen blend is a heavier weight for sturdiness yet completely breathable with excellent drape. The silhouette of the bodice hints at lines to come. The neckline is a flattering sweetheart shape. The sleeves are cuffed. This closes on an asymmetric line, with buttons traveling from the center of the neck, down the left side of the body. This opens all the way to the hem.

This dress is as fresh and clean as it is possible to be, having been hand washed twice and dry cleaned once. However, there are large, but lightened underarm ring on each arm - this extends on the cuff of the right sleeve. It is a ring, not a solid yellow circle, but I can't further remove it. It has some mild pressing sheen throughout, nothing that stands out. That said, this dress wears really well, and will be a great, affordable day dress for an understanding collector. Priced to sell.
