Classic 1940s Checkered Plaid Coat In Cream, Brown and Green with Large
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS read note regarding shipping at bottom of content.
Vintage 1940s coat is made by Aquatogs of a wonderful plaid check in ivory, chocolate brown and green. Please forgive the poor color in the photos - the green is a bright green, and while it’s a blue leaning color, it is NOT the aqua it photographs as. The colors are warm and rich. The collar is massive - a spear shape quintessentially early 40s. The deep pockets are angled and have a folded flap. Four large green buttons close it up the front. It is lined in brown rayon.
Label: None Preseng
Condition: Very Good minus
This coat is freshly back from the drycleaner and is ready to wear. I believe it was homemade - the back facing behind the button holes is cut, but was never stitched down for the top two buttons. The other two are hand finished. There is some mild yellowing on the collar. The cuffs have a little soil along the edge also. The lining is frayed at the inner top of each shoulder, and in the pockets. There’s no holes in the pockets - they are all wool, but the comfort rayon liner has come apart. I find no other issues to note!
