Packed away in a trunk for most of its existence, this simple, elegant silk skirt is crisp and functional. There's little ornamentation, which allows the top stitched arrows of the hip pockets to stand out. Three buttons finish the look at each side. The waistband is shirred, and backed with sturdy cotton buckram. Hooks close the piece up the side. A versatile, timeless piece for those who love to use antique fashion traditionally or fluidly.
✂-----Measurements
Waist: 30.5"
Hips: 49"
Length: 39"
Label: None Present
Material: Silk
Condition: Good, as is, very wearable
This skirt has not been cleaned, due to its age, but is fully aired out. The silk feels dry and has some set in creases resistant to being steamed out. Some of the stitches on the pleats have fallen out. There is a 1.5" fray along the edge of the right-hand pocket. Held to the light, I found five *teeny* moth chews, and three thin spots on old folds. I find no other issues to note. It feels sturdy and very wearable.
