Vintage late 1940s postwar day dress in a classically chic heathered grey gabardine. This impeccable tailored dress has a weighty drape. The label, Anjac classics, seems to have first appeared in ads around 1947, and it's a safe bet this is from their first few years in business. It offers a surplice bodice and cuffed three-quarter sleeves. Its sporty and sophisticated. Closing with just two snaps at the waist, the skirt is sewn with an extra drape of self-fabric, accentuating the wrap effect. There's a single pocket at the right hip. While there's no belt present, the belt loops on the dress are wide - you should definitely pair this with a statement belt!
