Vintage late 40s novelty print dress is a charmer that looks like autumn and wears like summer. I love the print. It makes me think of both wheat and cat tails. Made of a celanese blend with nice weight and a breezy drape, its's the kinda of 30s that feels relevant in modern fashion. The sort they love to use in modified-period films, like Fantastic Beasts. I mean, that necktie? It's so flirtatious. I love the shirring at the top of each sleeve, and the asymmetric treatment of the skirt. This beauty closes on the side with a snaps.
Label: None Present, Homemade
Material: Celanese blend
Condition: Good plus
This dress clean has been drycleaned and is ready to wear. I believe it's been laundered in the past, and has mild all-over fade from that, moreso on the skirt than the bodice - but this is REALLY mild. It's homemade, and there's some awkward choices - the neckline is not perfectly finished, and the neck ties have some less than tidy hand stitches. A few seams have mild strain. This dress wears beautifully.
