Charming Late 1930s Dress in Naby Blue Rayon Crepe and Sheer Floral Lace Gores

  • Product Description

This vintage 1930s dress really is fun, a homemade creation of rayon and a sturdy cotton lace. The construction is clever, a piece work style that I'm sure was done to make the most out of limited materials. It features lightly puffed sleeves - lace at top, rayon under. The alterating bars of lace and rayon on the bodice are topped with shirring at the shoulders. The skirt is an eight gore style, alternating between solid rayon and sheer lace. The dress closes on the side with snaps, with another at the side of the neck.

      Shoulders: 16"

      Waist: 30"-snug 31"
      Hips: 46"
      Length: 41"

      Label: None present
      Material: Cotton, Rayon
      Condition: Good, as is

This garment is clean and ready to wear. I have interfaced to frays under the right arm, and two moth chews on the waistband. There is a bit of staining to the lace at the underarms, but it's not notable when worn. The edge of the collar is a little discolored from old makeup that I removed. find no other issues to note!
