Charming Early 1940s Junior's Wool Dress in Forest Green Herringbone with Peplum

  • Product Description

I can't get over how idea this early 40s dress is. Feature positive massive shoulder pads, the silhouette is ideal. The lines are almost surprising given how thick and warm the gorgeous spruce green wool is. The wool is a wide herringbone weave, which is complemented by the ivory lattice of the collar and waistline. The skirt is pleated at front and has a gentle movement. The dress closes up the back with buttons.

      Shoulder: 17"
      Bust: 39"
      Waist: 37" - SNUG 28"
      Hips: 48"
      Length: 40"

      Label: Junior Fair
      Material: Wool
      Condition: Good plus

This dress has been cleaned and is ready to wear. I've very neatly patched a moth chew at the center front of the bodice with self fabric (it's nearly invisible) and patched or darned about 10 others - two more in the bodice, one by the waist and one at back, and the rest scattered in the skirt. There's two small spots on the lattice work by the left neckline, one on the ruffle of the collar and one just under the collar - these are very hard to see on the dark green. I find no other issues to note.
