A striking 1940s dress in lovely, drapey rayon crepe. The pink hue is classic for the era - dramatic with navy blue or black, striking contrasted with chartreuse. This piece is just loaded with details that you'll love, from the heavily padded, shirred shoulders, to the little chest pockets, smartly cuffed short sleeves and pass-though attached buttoning belt at the waist. The skirt made up of long darts that open to pleats for really beautiful drape and crisp movement. The dress opens all the way to them with self-fabric buttons.
Label: None Present
Material: Rayon Crepe
Condition: Good minus, very wearable but faded
This dress is sturdy, freshly dry cleaned, and ready to wear. It is really hard to capture th fade in photography, because it tends to look like light reflection. it's not. There is fade throughout, particularly the shoulders, collar, sleeves and sides of the skirt. It you pull open the pleats, you'll see that the fade affects most of the dress to some degree. That said, my consignor wore this and it looks fantastic, and it genuinely looked good on the model - it's a wearable dress. Priced at half what it would be without fade.
