Vintage 1940s day dress is bold in absolutely brilliant palette that SCREAM summer. A flattering war era length and cut, this charmer offers hot fuchsia-red, yellow and grey blooms on a billiard green ground. The bodice is exceptionally flattering, with shirring at each shoulder and vertical shirring tucked into a center placket for perfect, ruched draping from the narrow neckline down to the dropped waist. Two curving hip seams meet a flirty, gathered skirt. This beauty closes with a replacement nylon zipper on the left.
*Please note, I thought I'd fixed all the fallen areas of hem before shooting it, but it turns out I'd only done the backside. Yes, it will arrived to you all finished!

This dress is clean and ready to wear. The most notable issue is a self-fabric placket added by a previous owner to extended the size along the side of the midsection - at the widest point, the waist, it adds 1.75" to the fit. the added panel is 11" long end to end, from the corner of the underarm down past the line of the hips. The very busy print helps hide this. There is some color transfer, fairly mild, at the underarms. I've restitched the hem and the edges of the sleeves. There's seven small holes in the skirt. The dress wears beautifully, and is priced with flaws in mind.
