Vintage 1940s dress in an rich, true navy blue with a subtle lily of the valley print - one more focused on foliage than flowers. Large blue leaves frame the little white bells. Lily of the valley means "a return to happiness" in Victorian flower language, so I can hardly think of a better theme for right now. This dress has a smart shape, with a narrow collar and three quarter sleeves, and hip pockets. The bodice is a shirtwaist style, with three working buttons, and there is also a sturdy side metal ziper.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. The bias cut elements, like the pockets and cuffs have been mispressed in the past, and are somewhat creased. There is a small darn under the right underarm. I find no other issues to note!
