Vintage 1950s day dress is an absolutely fantastic use of color theory. This smart dress is all cotton, colorblocked in navy blue and a saturated yellow chartreuse. The collar is wide, framing a v neckline. The bust is divided with a pointed midwaist. The belt shown is not included - it's actually borrowed from a different dress - but the dress is really meant to be worn with a belt or sash.. The pale skirt is tiered in the style of patio skirt, but has quite a different mood. A heavy ribbon with primary colored pattern trims the collar and two tiers of skirt. This beauty closes up the back with a sturdy metal zipper.

This dress is freshly hand cleaned and ready to wear. I have interfaced a tiny L-shaped cut at the back left side below the waist. There are two spots on the chartreuse part of the collar, and some tanning to the chartreuse along the sides of the skirt - this is really subtle. There is one last spot in the lowest band of yellow chartreuse at the center front. Finally, the center bust is hand stitched closed, so this may originally have been a bit lower cut. This wears beautifully and is priced with minor flaws in mind.
