I am thrilled to being you this chic early 1940s dress and matching jacket set! This wonderful ensemble features a colorblock dress and smart jacket. The jacket alone will be a versatile separate in your wardrobe, but it is perfection paired with it's original dress. The dress has a warm grey bodice with a draped neckline, and shoulder pads that fill out the shirred sleeves. The skirt is gored, in a chocolate brown that matches the jacket. The jacket is cropped to the waist and just a little boxy, with curls of chenille in a blue-grey. I really enjoy this mix of warm and cool tones. The dress closes at the side and back of the neck with metal zippers. The jacket is worn open, and has snaps on the fitted cuffs.

This set is freshly dry cleaned and ready to be worn. The grey of the bodice is subtly faded and inconsistent, but this does not stand out. The bodice has been taken up a bit at the center front and finished with a handstitch, but the original selvage is present and it can be let down again. There is some mild fade at the top of the sleeves, and a little wear to the rayon along the edges of the chenille, likey from the process of doing that work. It wears beautifully. I find no other issues to note!
