Bold 1940s Colorblock Dressing Gown or Hostess Dress in Coral with Grey Soutache

  • Product Description

Vintage 1940s dressing gown in a stunning mix of warm coral and cool blue-grey. This exceptionally striking piece will bring a high-impact air of drama to your everyday routine. That said, this is absolutely wearable as an evening gown - the style is such that it doesn't wear like a robe. The coral rayon is heavy, and beautifully draped. The color block contrast at the shoulders is actually made up of three materials - a semi-sheer nylon, pale grey rayon crepe and cordé soutache. The asymmetric bow at the right side is perfection.  The bodice closes with self-fabric buttons in two clusters of three, while the closure extends below the waist and has a hidden snap. The draped skirt has two pockets, and they area deep and actually functional. A killer piece!

      Bust: 42"

This dress is clean and ready to be worn. There is the tiniest bit of strain at the top of the waist darts. There are two teeny pinholes in the grey contrast, on the left shoulder. I find no other issues to note!
