Best 1960s Black and White Mod Dress with Matching Jacket

  • Product Description

Okay, I said the tweed was my favorite, but who am I kidding? As much as I love that, THIS is just.... iconic. It is SO sharp, so perfectly mod. Every detail gets me - I mean, it could have any color lining, but they went with CHARTREUSE. YES - it's the perfect choice. The textile is a heavy cotton, woven with a subtle diamond-quilt texture. The mod-a line dress is sleeveless. The lines are simple. With that print, that's all you need! The jacket has a high, collarless shape. The shape is slightly tailored - not too much, just enough to flatter the skirt. And the chartruese lining is a lightweight acetate. The dress closes with a sturdy metal zipper, the jacket with buttons.

This dress set is clean and ready to wear!  There is a single tiny mark under the left belt loop of the the coat. There are two rust spots on the interior hem of the jacket. Until I was inspecting this closely, I didn't realize that there is subtle foxing in the white. Normally, I'd hand wash this despite having dry cleaned it, but since I'm on a deadline, here it is! The bold lines make this incredible subtle - it won't negatively impact the wear of this piece. Priced with consideration to that flaw. I find no other issues to note!
