For those in love with the history of 20th century fashion, New York Creation is one of labels that brings delight. While the specific designer is unknown, it's no surprise to find the tag in a dress with such exceptional details. The sweetheart neckline is framed with sheer rayon chiffon decked with gelatin sequins. Piping bows drape at each side. The sheer treatment takes up the upper half of the back, with the sequins closer together at the border and more spare in the center. This is truly sheer - not nude illusion. The short, draped sleeves have thick headers, and combined with the four gore skirt, created a perfect and quintessential silhouette. This beauty closes on the side with a sturdy metal zipper.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. There are two little snags in the rayon chiffon with a few fine broken threads at back - not enough to become a tear. A few sequins are missing on the back, about six from my count. The hem has been taken up and could be let out up to two inches - it is not, however, uneven as it appears in some photos, it's just a trick of the camera. Finally, there is a self-fabric patch to a small snag-tear on the front of the skirt (not noticable) and three nearby pulls to the crepe. I find no other issues to note! It presents beautifully and is frankly even sexier in person.
