1940s Vintage Dance Sandals in Pleated Black Silk with Low Heels

  • Product Description

A wonderful pair of 1940s dancing sandals in classic black satin.  The heel is low and thick, perfect for control on the dance floor or comfort for an evening out.  Made of leather with a silk satin exterior, the vamp is elegantly pleated and has a center finial. The angle straps are adjustable and buckle at the outside of the foot. Probably made during the war, the insoles are paper and the soles are man made. The lining and heel tips are leather.

      Not marked - about a 6.5 to 7.
      Interior Length: 9.5”
      Interior Width: 3"
      Heel Height: 1.75”

      Label: Marcella Modes
      Material: Leather, Satin
      Condition: Good

The soles are sturdy, the heel taps are good and the silk is not breaking. The shoes are somewhat stiff across the vamp and at the heel and will take some breaking in. I have glued in the insoles. They are still wearable, with many dances left in them!
