Vintage 1940s day dress in a silky rayon jersey is marvelous mix of sweet florals, and the drama of a print rendered in black and white. A flattering war era length and cut, this fantastic frock features hue blooms of flowers, a flirty peplum and shirring at the shoulders. The jersey has comfortable give, and is flattering and sleek. There's no shoulder pads, and it doesn't require them, but looks excellent with a pair added if you wish. It closes up the back with a sturdy metal zipper.
Bust: 36" relaxed to 39" stretched

Condition: Good, as is, very wearable
This dress is clean and ready to wear. Although I've owned it for years, I didn't realized until I was inspecting it that some of the peach hues I thought were in the print are actually dye travel - there's some of this at the underarms and the right bust, and some lower in the skirt. This doesn't stand out because of the grey shading of the print. Held to the light, I found two teeny pinholes in the skirt. It's not perfect, but it is in very sturdy condition for rayon jersey, and will have lots of years left for you.
