Vintage 1950s day dress is a cross between summer and autumn style, in a crisp black cotton with half-length sleeves, a fitted midwaist and short circle skirt. The print is a very interpretative print of cherries, outlined in bright blue and sometimes filled with white or chartreuse, a bright pop against the crisply black ground. The midwaist is outlined with piping trim - the sleeves finish with self-fabric ties. An excellent summer frock for places like the northwest, where real sun isn't always guaranteed! This cutie closes on the side with a sturdy metal zipper.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. The previous owner nipped in the bust from the center , and it caused a slightly odd pucker you can see in the photos. You can easily let this out if desired. There is a second dart on the right side, repairing an underarm tear. This dress is sturdy and looks lovely on, I find no other issues to note.
