Vintage late 1930s swimsuit in a vibrant floral print Lastex stretch satin. This is from my personal collection, purchased probably fifteen years ago, hoarded without wearing for ten, sold to a friend and purchased back in the more recent past. I simply ADORE the primary color platter and brilliantly 30s print. Squares of rainbow stripes alternate with squares full of stylized wildflowers. The cut is superbly flattering - the pleated bust really makes it. And it's not skirted, which is rare for the era -instead, it is flared shorts! The straps cross in the back and button - this could also be tied behind the neck as a halter or cross at the front of the neck. This suit is fully lined with black jersey. This one really is something special.

This suit is clean, sturdy and ready to wear! The most notable flaw is a dime sized hole in the lining at the buttocks, with four smaller little holes nearby. This isn't seen when worn, but could use a patch if you plan to wear this in the pool (I never recommend putting 30s suits in treated water.) The red color has bled into the white a bt at the underarms and bust. There is a tiny snag on the right side of the torso. I find no other issues to note!
