  • Product Description

A gorgeous postwar 1940s, with luxurious use of print and bias cut.  The rayon crepe is very sleek and drapey, very much living up to its original purpose as "imitation silk." The print spidery, curling and bold, filled with leafy vein of blue, little heart shaped coils and jagged-edged leaves of green, all against a bright, white ground. The bodice is a classic shirtwaist, paired with a narrow collar and short sleeves. The top of the hips is cut with curving scallops, then the skirt flares in bias cut gores at front which creates a handkerchief hem effect. The gores are cut straight at the back. The buttons on the bodice are working, and there is a side metal zippers as well.

      ✂-----Measurements

      Shoulders: 15.75"
      Bust: 44"
      Waist: 32"
      Hips: 40"
      Length: 47"

      Label: Trim-Look
      Material: Rayon Crepe
      Condition: Good, as is

This dress is freshly dry cleaned and ready to be worn. There is a yellow spot low on the right side of the collar, and a little yellowing to the belt.  The fabric at the underarms has been strained in a ways that has shifted the print out of registration, but they are still sturdy. The belt loops are broken. I find nothing else to note!
