A luxurious and lovely mid 1930s coat, a rare find in a voluptuous size! A piece from my own collection, this just doesn't get worn enough in my closet for some reason! This sleekly cut piece features a high neckline with asymmetric closure, and dramatic asymmetric fur embellishment of soft Astrakan lamb. The fit is smart and tailored, quintessential for its time. The shoulders are padded.. The jet black rayon crepe lining is decadent, and has the extra reinforcement layers at the underarms to prevent damage. The coat closes with buttons to the left side.
I am a modern 16ish, and this fits me well. Recommended for not more than a 44" bust, however.
Label: None Present
Material: Wool, Rayon lining
Condition: Very Good minus
This coat is clean and ready to wear, with no significant flaws that I find to note. I found a couple rubbed edges along the fur trim, and the button loops are a bit stretched out.I find nothing else to mention.
