Sassy 1960s check Copper Cropped Jacket Suit
-
Product Description
Vintage suit that was most likely made in the 1960s and rebuilt as a 50s suit. Lightweight woven wool in a copper and black nubby check. Three big buttons down the front and on decorative panels at the neck. Half sleeves, the perfect length to accommodate gloves. A large open pleat down the back, gives this jacket serious bad girl vibes. The matching pencil skirt fastens down the side with a sturdy metal zipper.

It presents beautifully. I believe this suit was made in the 60s and then altered pretty quickly to present as a 50s suit. There are some smartly done alterations and the skirt has been hemmed with a running stitch. Apart from that - there is one half inch split in the skirt that has been backed with interfacing, which is not how I would have chosen to make the mend, but I did not want to undo it. The button holes in the jacket are sturdy, but do have a touch of fray around them. This does not detract when worn. I find no other issues to note. -
