Vintage 1940s day dress in a silky rayon jersey with classic war era styling. This flirty frock offers short kimono sleeves of a piece with the bodice, a fitted waist and fantastic peplum. The peplum is a cut a little wider than the hips of the skirt, and split at the center, giving it movement. The print is a delightful motif of floral wedding bells all strung together with bows. There's two decorative buttons at the neckline, which opens with a hook and eye. This dress closes on the side with a metal zipper.
Label: None Present
Material: Rayon Jersey
Condition: Good plys, as is, very wearable.
This dress is clean and ready to wear. The black has faded with time, as can be verified by comparing with the area under the peplum, and it's a bit more pronounced at the shoulders/sleeves. There's a reddish spot on the top of each shoulder which is probably caused by a hanger. The dress wears beautifully, thoughh, and the minor flaws don't stand out. It is free of any of the stretching/fatigue or holes that can be common to rayon jersey, and has years more wear in it.
