Striking 1910s Fully Crocheted White Blouse with Short Sleeves.
Antique Edwardian blouse is a pretty piece, either made to be securely tucked in, or possibly it is the bodice of a dress that was cut. Made all of a bright white crocheted lace, this is almost certainly home and hand made. An early 1910s style, it's fairly tailored, and has deep pleats to each shoulder that narrow the look of the waist. It closes up the back with snaps.
Length to end of lace: 15" Length to unfinished hem: 21"
Label: None Present
Material: Silk, Cotton
Condition: Good plus
This blouse is clean and ready to wear. The seam on the underside of each cuff is done incorrectly and looks a bit frayed. The edge of the lace at the hem is slightly frayed also, and there's a few scattered snags. There is a faint yellowed area at the mid-bodice which I greatly improved with a day in the sun, but which did not disappear 100%. Still entirely wearable, and quite sturdy.
