Prettiest 1930s Two Piece Dress Set with Necktie and Jacket in Off White Rayon Crepe.
Vintage 1930s summer dress and jacket are made of breezy pale off-white rayon crepe. This set was purchased from a local seller who had washed it and panicked, so it's flawed, but I've worked and made it wearable. Still, read the condition notes. The dress is a simple, sleek design, sleeveless, with self-fabric ties at the neckline. The skirt has two pleats at the front, one at the center back. The butterfly sleeves of the jacket have godets to create their free shape. I would likely wear this with the jacket belted closed with an eye catching belt. The jacket has no closure, and the dress closes with side snaps.
*NOTE, the dress is backwards on the model - it was a socially distanced shoot, so I simply didn't see each thing they put on. Apologies! It isn't darted, so you can get away with wearing it either direction.

Material: Rayon Crepe
Condition: Good minus, wearable as is
This set is clean and ready to wear. The previous owner had washed it in a machine. The set, originally peach, lost almost all it's color - it's only got the faintest hints that it was ever not ivory, and the color of the dress and jacket are no longer a perfect match. She also had attempted to re-shape the rayon when wet, and caused some small stress breaks. I've stitched up two at the edge of the right underarm. I have used fusible interfacing for the rest - two in the front of the bodice at the left side (the largest is just over 1/4", near the snap closure), one at the right back shoulder, one at the left underarm, and one at the back of the skirt. There's also still some faint underarm staining, not enough to detract.
I'd actually bought this as a dye project, but I really like it white, so I wanted to give it a chance this way, first.
