Vintage 1940s dressing gown is made of a gleaming ivory brocade with a detailed Chinese garden scene. Probably a souvenir style made for export, this piece has crisp lines and is beautifully detailed This late postwar style features wide sleeves with smart cuffs. The pockets on the right is an envelope style. The skirt is flared for easy movement. It closes at the center front with internal ties and a snap. This no longer has it's sash, but any contrasting sash would be striking. It is fully lined.

This robe is freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear. There is a small rust colored spot just below the fold of right hand lapel. close to the waist. A spot back of the waist has a subtle orangish coloration - something from storage - it's mild, but present. I find no other issues to note.
