This scarce 1950s novelty skirt is a striking rarity. This authentic felt skirt, likely a late 40s piece but possibly early 50s, borrows very directly from the style of famed designer Juli Lynne Charlot. Marguerite of California created equally amazing circle skirts, largely with this slightly full a-line shape. This uses multiple materials to create the masquerade theme - a black lace fan (which is a pocket!) with golden finger loop, then lush fuchsia felt roses. The mask is felt edged in lace. A black dingle ball lace edges the hem and fan. A wide waistband tops of this fantastic and classic felt skirt, with a peak at the center. This item closes with a metal rear zipper and hooks and eyes.
Label: Original Marguerite of California, San Francisco
Material: Wool Felt
Condition: Very Good minus
This skirt is clean and ready to wear. There is a single moth hole on the waistband, and a few tiny points of surface mothing. There are a couple other really subtle surface divits in the skirt, I find no other issues to note!
