An extraordinary Italian made suit in fine silk, printed with huge, bold, graphic red roses. THIS is statement fashion. This bold suit is deeply inspired by New Look fashions, made by the Naples based couture house, Bencivenga. This small fashion house has never had international reknown, but offers the quality that you desire from Italian fashion. The silk has a tissue texture with a sleek hand. The background is a warm ivory, and even that looks almost stark compared to the brilliance of the red roses and green leaves. The sleeves, slightly dolman cut, are of a piece with the front and back panels. As the cuffs are wider than a 50s sleeve would be, you can turn them up, and choose to wear them somewhat differently (as shown in the angled photos.) Most notable is the top-stitched peplum, interfaced for structure. And the pencil skirt - the mileage you will get out of this!
Label: Bencivega, Pura Seta (Pure Silk) 42
Condition: Very Good minus
This suit is clean and ready to wear. there is a small spot on the far right side of the skirt a bit above the hem, and a subtle misprint from a green leaf, at the center back seam of the skirt. I find no other issues to note!
