A chic and exceptionally wearable Ceil Chapman from the early 1960s. Feathers are timelessly fashionable, and used decadently on this little black dress. The dress is made of silk chiffon, lined with black silk that is interfaced with acetate. The strapless internal bodice has stays for structure. The sheer bloused bodice is sleeveless, and is a big generous in fit, so that it has a soft shape when the pleated belt is hooked over it. The feather trimmed skirt spirals around the body, the dense feathers held in perfect shape with weighs sewn into little pockets of self-fabric. The dress closes at the back with a nylon zipper and hidden snaps.
