This decadent vintage 1930s dress is a treat to wear. Homemade in the era, it is a soft and somewhat lightweight silk velvet with fine pile. The gown's standout feature are the angel sleeves, with a 50" circumference! The neckline is a v, above a divided bust. At back three slits give a peek of skin. The balance of the dress is the glamorous simplicity of curve-skimming bias This garment has no closures, and simply slips over the head.

This dress is clean and ready to wear. I rescued this from a theater. They made some fairly low quality hand stitched repairs at each shoulder, and to a split at the right underarm. I have cleaned those up with a tidier hand stitch, but they will always be imperfect. I removed a cheesy accent they added to the bust, and there's some seating to the velvet there. It is homemade, and some of the original finishing is a little slapdash, but you won't notice when you wear it! I find no other issues to note.
