Gorgeous Early Edwardian Blue Wool Jacket with Velvet Trim and Silk Lining

  • Product Description

A smart 1900s blouse that remains crisply wearable today.  Made of a rich wool wool with a hard hand, it holds the shape of slightly puffed sleeves and trim lines to perfection. Trimmed in a cotton velveteen with surprisingly thick pile at the waist and collar, the lines of this piece will fit smartly with original period attire, 30s and 40s revival fashions and modern use of vintage alike. It is lined with printed blue silk.

This jacket is clean and ready to wear. There are a few scattered surface moth holes I have darned. The velvet at the waist has very mild rubbing at the edges. The silk of the lining is beginning to break at the back of the next - shredding, not shattering. There is staining to the lining at the underarms. It is sturdy and wears beautifully. I find no other issues to note.
